Helping build one of Texas’ largest mobile brake repair companies by combining automotive expertise with operational excellence, digital marketing, and customer-first innovation.
About Jonathan
Jonathan Ganther is the Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer of Brakes To Go, a Texas-based mobile brake repair company that has grown from a single service vehicle into a multi-million dollar operation serving customers throughout Austin, Dallas-Fort Worth, San Antonio, and surrounding communities.
His journey into the automotive industry started with a passion for cars. After attending WyoTech in Laramie, Wyoming, Jonathan originally planned to build and restore classic muscle cars. To gain real-world experience, he worked in automotive repair shops where he quickly discovered something that would ultimately change the direction of his career.
While working inside traditional repair facilities, Jonathan saw that many customers struggled with confusing repair recommendations, inconsistent parts quality, long wait times, and the inconvenience of leaving their vehicle at a shop for routine brake repairs. He believed there had to be a better experience.
In 2013, Jonathan launched Road Wrench, a small mobile automotive repair business that focused on delivering honest service directly to customers. The original company name was suggested by his wife after Jonathan had considered calling the business Wrench on the Road. The concept quickly gained traction as customers appreciated transparent pricing, quality workmanship, and the convenience of having repairs completed at home or work.
Recognizing the growing demand, Jonathan secured a small friends-and-family investment and rebranded the company as Brakes To Go. In 2015, he officially co-founded the business with attorney and entrepreneur Randall Huntsinger. Together they focused exclusively on brake repair, believing that specialization would allow them to deliver a better customer experience than traditional repair facilities.
Over the next decade Jonathan wore nearly every hat within the company.
He worked as a technician in the field, answered customer calls, built scheduling systems, developed pricing strategies, managed operations, hired and trained employees, negotiated with suppliers, implemented CRM platforms, and personally learned search engine optimization to grow the company’s online presence.
Rather than outsourcing every discipline, Jonathan invested heavily in educating himself. He studied SEO until Brakes To Go ranked organically for highly competitive searches such as brake repair Austin. He later expanded into paid advertising, local search marketing, customer acquisition, and performance analytics while continuing to improve operations throughout the business.
Today Jonathan oversees operations, marketing strategy, customer experience, technology implementation, technician development, pricing strategy, and business growth. His responsibilities span virtually every department within Brakes To Go, allowing him to combine practical automotive knowledge with executive leadership.
Under his leadership, Brakes To Go has grown from less than $500,000 in annual revenue during its early years to more than $3.85 million in annual sales, with continued growth planned through franchising and expansion across Texas.
Jonathan is also an ASE Certified Automotive Technician and regularly continues his education in automotive technology, leadership, digital marketing, and business operations. His experience uniquely combines hands-on mechanical expertise with executive management, making him a sought-after voice on topics involving automotive repair, consumer vehicle maintenance, entrepreneurship, operational excellence, and local business growth.
Today, Jonathan’s mission remains the same as when he first started Road Wrench more than a decade ago: make brake repair more transparent, more convenient, and more trustworthy for every customer.
